Breakfast on Woodward, Back to the Bricks, and Dream Cruise Events

August 16th and 19th

Breakfast on Woodward

On our first Annual Breakfast on Woodward we had a half dozen Vettes parked in the most prime cruise watching location on Woodward (the curb in from of Red Coat Tavern).  We passed on Red Coat burgers for breakfast and found a great little place a couple of blocks north, then a few hours on the curb watching cruisers before getting a table at Dugan's for lunch.  After our three hour lunch, more cruise watching till the sun went down and we had to go home.  Tom G.

Back to the Bricks

Seven cars made the trip up to Flint for this year's "Back to the Bricks" and the "Corvette Reunion" event.  It was an early start from Doc's (6:30am) for the cruise up to Flint.  We made it in record time and were parked by 7:30am.  Rene' and Chuck had registered their cars for judging.  So, while they went about some last minute cleaning, the rest of the group walked "the red brick road" through Downtown to see the sights.  Everything was on display.  There were cars & trucks of all models and years, and special areas for dragsters, Model A's, Hearses, RV's and trailers, and new this year were even some BIG TRUCKS.  And, of course many great Corvettes.  Judging was tough, but Rene' came away with a Trophy.  It was a full day that was topped off by some libations at the Beer Becker Brewery in Brighton.  Bill T.
