CLC trip to the Grand Prix

May 31st

On a beautiful Saturday, May 31, 2014 several CLC members and prospective members participated in the Corvette Corral at the Belle Isle Grand Prix. The day's events included on island parking; Corvette hospitality tent, including breakfast and a lunch catered by Andiamo's and with snacks and drinks available throughout the day; grandstand seats, paddock passes and several “spirited” “parade laps” around the Belle Island race circuit – for the first 100 Corvettes that registered for the laps. There were three races during the day featuring several classes of cars. In the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic, the overall and prototype class winner was the Corvette Daytona Prototype co-driven by brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor. Another highlight of the day was the meaningful conversations that George, Bill S. and Daniel had with the Continental Tire representative - George
