Christmas Dinner -  December 11th

Note from Dennis:  LC Family

Just a quick note to “thank” all of you that came together for our annual Christmas Gathering.   Nancy and I really enjoyed hosting this year’s event.  Special “thanks” go out to our Webmaster, Tom, for his year in review.  It seems to have become a favored tradition that we all look forward to, and the party just wouldn’t be the same without it.  Thanks again Tom for all you do to keep our club memories alive.  Very Special “thanks” go out to our Activity Director, Jim R, for his help organizing the party, but especially for the “White Elephant” gift exchange idea.  You can tell that a lot of thought was given to many of the “gifts”.  Both Nancy and I agree that the “lump of wax” (does this equate to a lump of coal?) took the “tacky” award!  Jan you are such a lucky gal to have gone home with this “prize”.  We also chuckled when we think of scripture that reminds us that “the last shall come first”.  Renee not only got the first gift (that lovely scarf), but also ended up with what seemed to be the best gift that everyone wanted, the bottle of Bailey’s.  Nice going girl!  But we are especially pleased that the Betty Boop plates, the cactus glasses, the Campbell Soup kids, and the golf bag mug have now moved out of our basement and into yours!   But not to worry, we are already thinking of more great gift ideas for next year………….

May you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Joyful New Year!

Ps: and apologies to Tom, for having to endure watching his Split Window Coupe getting sliced into numerous pieces  (the car pictured on our Holiday Cake is his).  Don’t have too many nightmares Tom!

Thanks to Denny for always coming through as CLC event photographer!

The white elephant exchange was a
