CLC Trip to Gatlinburg, Tail of the Dragon, Bowling Green and Nashville

10 Corvettes - 15000 miles - lots of fun  - no accidents  - no speeding tickets!

August 27th - Sept 3rd

Our main reason to make the trip was to support CLC's Honorary Member Gary Claudio as he was inducted into the National Corvette Museum's Corvette Hall of Fame:

Along the way we just had to drive the Tail of the Dragon and visit downtown Nashville.

Thanks to Denny, Sue, Renee and Bill T. for the photos

Ready to depart from the Elks

First overnight stop Lexington

Second Night  - Gatlinburg

Here we started our daily trip routine:

Drive, swim, eat, LCR

Entered the Tail of the Dragon at the South end

After the Tail of the Dragon we drove to Bowling Green where the hotel welcomed us with a Corvette statue

Setting up the table for our nightly LCR

(that is Jeremiah Weed)

Gary giving his morning talk

Our CLC banner that had flown for a year at the museum

Lost River Cave

On to Nashville - Opryland indoor complex

Third best photo of the trip:

Downtown Nashville - and it was CLC night!

One of many toasts as we visited a few Honky Tonks

Was it fate?  Full Moon outside while we were inside

 the Full Moon Saloon!

Can't keep those girls off the dance floor

It is hard to see, but the motorcycle has two small dogs that ride with the driver

The pretty..........

and not so pretty (but talented) sights of Nashville

State Capital off in the distance

Second best photo of the trip:

I don't know what Honky-Tonk this is but it is typical of how most of them looked inside

Bill and Sandy cutting the rug (or wood).

Just for the record (for any CLC children or grandchildren looking) - this is NOT a CLC member

Yes - this is a CLC member bringing a requested item up to the bar

Renee's new RED cowboy boots
